fave long winters song

Post by thewalrus »

this is long overdue.
if the topic IS on here, i haven't looked hard enough.
and i apologize for wasting time and space.
i don't see a point in adding a poll because i can't narrow it down.
it's up to the voters.
ready...
GO!

I think most of us would have trouble selecting just one.

if you had to pick.
like if terrorists captured your family.
and the only way to save them was to choose just one favorite long winters song,
it makes perfect sense.
this kind of situation happens all the time.

Scent of Lime. It's the song that made me buy the album in the first place.

For me, it is a tie between "The Crystal Ship" and "Break on Through"

or it'll be a breeze.
or mimi.
or blanket hog.
or give me a moment.
or cinnamon.
or copernicus.
or stupid.
or scent of lime.
or bride and bridle.

oh, darnit.

Blanket Hog weighs in with the help of Nathalie, but without her vote it is Medicine Cabinet Pirate.

I love this song too. It never gets any love.

I'd pick Carparts. It's the first LW song I heard.

Carparts . . . awesome.

First album: Carparts or Unsalted Butter

Second: It'll Be A Breeze or Scared Straight or Shapes or Blue Diamonds or . . .

I've been thinking about this since it was posted, and decided it is impossible.
But I've narrowed it down to Scent Of Lime, Shapes and The Commander Thinks Aloud, and I cry for the songs I'm ignoring.

The upside is that there are all these new songs in the making, which are going to make this even more difficult next year.
