What are your favorite sites for finding out what new music releases are coming out?

I hate to admit it, but I haven't found anything better than Pitchfork.

I've found that the only useful information comes from the various message boards I frequent: TLW, Harvey Danger, Barsuk, etc.

I agree, the artist website is usually pretty great for new releases. Otherwise, I just read Under The Radar, and keep my ears peeled. But thier website sucks.

I ask this because I'm trying to compile a weekly list for a web site. And it might be a little slow-going if I have to wait for emails from every indie artists in the world :-)

‘Bettie Serveert’ has a new album out now; it’s called; ‘Attagirl’. Really great songs and music!!!
The album will be available outside the Benelux early 2005.

I’m gonna see the band tonight, and I’m really excited about it.
You all have a happy Halloween while I’m seeing the Betties!

what might be useful is checking out label sites, rather than band sites.
most label sites have a mailing list option, and make sure to keep you up to date when they have new releases coming up.

another source is insound, also one of my sources for getting to know new stuff, with mp3s.

as for the new Bettie, it's not doing it for me
one of my current dutch faves is Solo (which is actually a band), nice quiet Sunday morning music
