And I'd like to mention, I should have the video for "Scared Straight" done by the end of the week. And since I don't play an instrument, all of my covers seem to have fallen through since I haven't been able to contact my partner in crime over the last few weeks. Grrr. However, I have resolved to do a video for Cinnamon! Take THAT!

Ummmm....well....you see...whathadhappendwas....I haven't heard from my cohort in almost a month. I'm not a musician or at least a competent one to be able to work a musical instrument long enough or cohernently enough to create or cover a song. Therefore, I have gotten nowhere on the covers. My part in this art, is just Video. I release all the other proclamations on songs to everyone else! Get to it!
The Scared Straight video will be done this weekend, or Tyler Durden gets my balls.

(I think this is the right thread)
Anyway, it seems Deerhoof is giving away an album of their songs, covered by fans. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/news/05-09/26.shtml
Now, it seems to me, that The Long Winters are well on their way to being able to do the same, after the covers some of you have recorded. Am I right?

which is fine, we don't want to outdo the band by coming up with an album before they do
so, do I have anything to contribute yet? No. But I could say 'hey, look how long it took John to actually release any of his work'. Although my current excuse is that the line-in on my notebook is a bit screwed.

My current excuse is lack of experience.... I mean, I just started learning how to play the guitar (or "rip the axe" in rock lingo) a few months ago.
I might not be able to bust out a wicked LW cover, but I can TOTALLY struggle through an accoustic version of "I Remember You" by Skid Row.
Oh simple Hair Metal, where would my playing be without thee...
