Larkin

I was reading some old posts and this made me think of Phillipp Larkin’s ‘The Whitsun Wedding’. It would be hard to memorize, though. In turn, Larkin's poem reminded me of McCullers 'The Member of the Wedding', but that is a whole different story, plus it's not a poem...

(I was going to post it there, but I don't know how it works with old messages... I'm kind of stupid when it comes to this sort of computer-related stuff.)

oh yeah, the 'new topic' button is right next to the 'reply' button, and it's easy to make that mistake, I know I have. However, if you can then link to the old topic, which you did not once but twice, you aren't doing that badly on the techno scale, after all.

Then wear the gold hat, if that moves her
if you can bounce high, bounce for her too
til she cries: lover!
gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover!
I must have you!

The Long Winters Board - the only board where people post "Hooray for Fitzgerald" - and mean it.
