Last Band Standing

Postby Betty Felon » Wed Jun 14, 2006 12:32 am

Hey you guys, help a lit-pop band get a gig at Lollapalooza.

They're the Harvey Danger-pedigreed Bound Stems, and if they get enough votes, they get an opening slot. Just getting into the top 25 earns them a lot of exposure.

They make super pretty music with smart, literary lyrics. And though I don't really know them personally, I've talked with them a few times and can endorse thier niceitude. This is a seriously quality, underrecognized band that keeps getting better.

Give em a hand! A hand for ex-bandmates!

Here's the link:

p.s.- You can vote once every day until June 30th. Don't let a white boy rap group named "The Cankles" out vote-get these guys.

you probably have pop-ups blocked.

Unfortunately, you have to put an email address in and then follow a link. Kind of pain, but each vote totally makes a difference.

Yeah, songs that seem inspired by Faulkner. Or Philip Roth. It's really quite apropos for this band.
