August 24th, Ballard: Board Games? Orangina?

Postby icapants » Wed Aug 09, 2006 7:01 pm

Okay. So as you all may (or may not) know, I originate from the Barsuk board over yonder. And we have developed this tradition type thing where we get together semi-regularly for some board games and some food. Lately, the turnout has been quite.. well.. lame.

So I though, maybe I should extend the invite to some of ya'll. We're all part of the same family, right?

So... anybody interested?

I'd normally be all over this like white on rice, but I kinda live in a different country.

I haven't played scrabble since...May. I'm probably really rusty.

apples to apples is only good when everyone's started drinking. and then, you must have at least four people playing. preferably more.

At the window, from a porch below actually. We discovered he did it with his mind, since his superpower is the ability to throw only those white plastic chairs (you know the ones), shaped with the correct parabolic curve on the back support. So it kinda went up, and hit the window, then came back down. I too would have preferred defenestration.

given the historical theme of your Defenestration song, John oughta give it a listen, I think. Hell, it even features Martin Luther. Is is historically correct?

talking about The Decemberists, when listening to the KEXP podcast I was struck by how John seemed to pronounce the word Teaspoon in a very Meloy-ish way.
