Bishop Allen was advertised to play on some fliers and not others. Maybe they weren't supposed to play. Two Gallants had engine problems, according to a guy in the other opening band.

John Vanderslice show was aces. It's uploading at Archive.org right now. Here's the info file, if anyone's interested:

Code: Select all

John Vanderslice
October 1st, 2007
The El Mocambo Tavern
Toronto, Ontario

Source: SP-BMC-3>SP-SPSB-2(160Hz)>MD-SR60
Conversion: MD master>analog>Creative Audigy SE
	          master wav's>goldwave>cool edit pro>cd wave
Editing: EQ, volume boost, fades

01. Kookaburra
02. Time To Go
03. Tablespoon of Codeine
04. Exodus Damage
05. Angela
06. Trance Manual
07. The Tower
08. Dear Sarah Shu
09. Numbered Lithograph
10. Pale Horse
11. Up Above the Sea
12. They Won't Let Me Run
13. Underneath the Leaves
14. Hey Joe [Jimi Hendrex in the style of Michael McDonald - performed by Daniel Hart]
15. White Dove
16. Time Travel Is Lonely

***special encore!***
[un-mic'ed, in the middle of the floor, as the audience crowded around in a polite circle]
17. New Zealand Pines [with Rebecca ?]

FLAWS:
- Kookaburra cut when I accidently pressed STOP instead of lowering the volume.

- I am missing one mic clip, so I fed the right mic through the top button hole on my shirt.
As such, a couple of times, the mic rubs against the shirt and a bit of static can be heard.
  Nothing too bad!

- Hiss throughout New Zealand Pines. This was performed un-mic'ed. As such, I had to boost the higher frequencies that John's voice were carried on. The result: a tiny bit of hiss.

- New Zealand Pines was performed with a fan, Rebecca, on the harp.
EDIT: Download now available at HaterHigh.com because Archive.org is a pain in my buttocks.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled conversation.

Anyone listen to Portugal. The Man?

man... love that violin w/ JV... pretty similar setlist to Boston, except they did Keep the Dream Alive for the circle encore... quite lovely.
