What do you get when you cross DCFC and Harvey Danger?

Well, if you answered the Vernacular, not only would you be right, but you'd be more "in the know" than I am. Because I just found out, and I'm mostly stoked.

For those (like me) who do not know. The Vernacular is Sean Nelson and Chris Walla's side project, featuring Nathan Good on drums. You can check them out on (where else but?) MySpace.

Discuss.

I heard one Vernacular song many moons ago (prior to their myspace, even!) and oh.holy.cow. I wish they would go forth and release things.
Alas, everyone is so f'ing busy being all... well.. busy.

Somehow, I could've guessed you'd love it.

most bands should be so lucky as to write a song as lovely as "make good choices"...

...which i first heard "many moons ago," like ica.

Weird jump! Chelsea, have you read "Created in Darkness by Troubled Americans: The Best of McSweeney's, Humor Category "? There is a really good short story in there that made me LOL at the bus stop. I had to stop reading before everyone started thinking I was "crazy laughing at bus stop girl".

I forget where I was going with this. But Chelsea is correct with her assessment of the loveliness of that song.

Let me just say that I am in The Vernacular's Top 8.

That pretty much makes me awesome by association.

Make Good Choices is one of my favorite songs at the moment, and has been since I first heard it months ago. So fucking good.
