The first day in the year to dry laundry outside.
It makes up for the long wait in Fall and Winter, it really does.

I have July and August off, I'm gonna start a new job in September (more music! more money! more craziness!), and I just heard Okkervil River are going to headline our little festival [festival and job are not related].
Usually when so many good things happen, something really bad is bound to happen soon afterwards... hopefully not this time.

I love it when you crave ice cream and there, magically in your fridge, is a whole half carton of perfect chocolate ice cream. And it's not melty OR hard to scoop out. And it tastes like angels. I am going to eat two bowls.

seeing the wonderful documentary film this week about the Young at Heart Chorus was once again a reminder of the important things in life - and how much music can mean. Highly recommended viewing!

Okkervil River performing a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Take This Waltz" which they had rehearsed and prepared just for that night? Yup.

My first blog. Hey, check me out!

http://motiononcredit.wordpress.com

You are all, of course, warmly invited peruse my new internet home and all the fascinating things I have to share with the e-people at large. Important, exciting things... like my dog's new accessories. And as LW's fans, you are always, always welcome. Come anytime!

I'm not as skilled as Claire, Squiddles, the Troubadours, or the venerable Liesbeth yet, but as far as reasons to live go, from the moment I get up in the morning, I've pretty much been doing nothing except playing with my blog for the past two days. It's become my de facto raison d'être.

Btw, that there was THREE languages in one sentence. I can feel my internet powers growing! bwahaha.

Actually, I'm hoping the obsession (novelty??) wears off soon, as I'm fairly certain humans should leave their house, or at least their computer, for, like, hours at a time. Which is unthinkable at the moment.
