nope, just speaking the language of an experienced tween parent admiring her own child's red glitter glued macaroni heart on a heart-shaped doily. she drew a really nice starfish seahorse combo in the center.

when the world is cold, it's our children that remind us why quality is what matters in matters of the heart. like the woodsman who misses his own ticker, you gotta love a functional tin can heart.

Julie you are just full of brilliant genius gems tonight! I love it!

I saw this study the other day and thought of this very thread:

Schizotypy, creativity and mating success in humans

"Here, we investigate the relationship between schizotypal personality traits, creative activity, and mating success in a large sample of British poets, visual artists, and other adults. We show that two components of schizotypy are positively correlated with mating success. "

Basically, they tested a bunch of artists and a lot of them had schizophrenic traits and also a lot of "mating success". They concluded that people with schizophrenic personality traits are highly likely to be creative, and creative people are really sexy.

This paper argues that schizophrenic personality traits are an evolutionary advantage. And, indirectly, that sexy rockstars are why schizophrenia remains in the genepool.

There is a good article explaining it, in normal english, here:
