Oh goodness, for some reason I thought you were in Oklahoma. (Yeah, I don't know either.) A 1000 apologies. Glad to hear you are safe and sound!

Florida is a dangerous place.

If that's true, why do so many people retire there???
Should I not believe Eirc "Ponch" Estrada, that I'm missing out on the oppurtunity of a lifetime, by not making a mad dash for property, in the land of Mickey Mouse & Dan Marino???

good, one Floridian (?) is okay.
I think last time Grant had no power for a week, don't hope fate hits him twice.

If I remeber correctly, Grant lives somewhere around Palm Beach County, which is quite far from the tornadoes, but perhaps I'd be better to let him speak for himself.

Betty, I think you had me confused with someone else!

I think I'm closest to the path of destruction - about 45 minutes south/southwest. It came through the middle of the night - and I had no idea it was even storming until the next morning I saw the water had soaked everything up to 3 feet in on my enclosed back porch.

They did send out e-mails asking people to come help the American Red Cross answer phones the next day. One hopeful story I heard this morning was that parishoners of a church gathered in the field where their church once stood to have service on Sunday morning. Apparently the only thing left standing was one door frame. But people are resilient and move forward.

I'm far away from that place -- about a three-hour drive. It was kinda close to Daytona.

Y'all are very sweet, though.

Florida is dangerous. This makes *me* dangerous.
