spring mix swap 2007

Post by Liesbeth »

did I hear someone say spring mix swap??

yes, the sun is shining, the daffodils are blooming, and although it's still mighty cold at night, I agree that it's time for something new, something fresh, something swappy!

here's the deal if you take part in the mix swap:
    - you state clearly in this topic that you want to be in - code word: YES
    - you will make a mix cd of music of your own choice for one other board member, and in return that board member will do the same for you;
    - you will check back on this board in two weeks' time to see who you are teamed up with (no pm to alert you, I don't have time, alas)
    - you will not sign up for this unless you have the time and opportunity to do this!!! Gotta be stern here, it's such a sad sad thing to see poor mix swappers orphaned, lost, abandoned because of enthusiasm that could not be backed by action.

Around 28 March I will pair everone up.
Tentative deadline to exchange the mix cds: 15 May, unless you agree otherwise between yourselves.

YES.

I've only ever made mix CDs for people I know; it will be interesting to put one together for someone I don't.

Hey sour29!
It breaks my heart to say, no, I will not be able to attend the show that is practically in my back yard.... Work commitments, can't get out of 'em...
But I'll be there in spirit!

NO!!

But I admire y'alls strength of character.

Whadaya say Moni, the usual Chimeral Mix Swap for us two this season? I won't pretend to put Japanese noise bands on it this time.

YES!

I can't say it'll be spectacular, incredibly obscure and original or anything like that, but I'll try to make it fun to listen to :)

I assembled a fairly good one last night. I think. Needs some listening.

How brave to stand up and admit your failure. I would scold at you for "breaking the chain", but it's good to see you post here. Don't hope your MaDiWoDo efforts stop you from writing for the rest of the year?

It's becoming quite a tradition that you're vague about actually participating. If I may inquire, was this a yes, or a maybe, perhaps?

He said YES clearly above. (And his fall mix was great last time.)
