Gotta find some good hiding spots...
Maybe the rain gutters, or behind the wall sockets...

I miss egg hunts...I was talking to my Mom last night and my sister and nephew were at our parents' house dyeing eggs for this weekend (he's a year and a half old, so just at the point where an egg hunt could be fun), and I had the sudden urge to run out and buy a dye kit and some non-brown eggs, but then I reminded myself I'm supposed to be a (kind-of) grown up...

And there's a good chance I've posted this before (it's a favorite Easter-related nerd site), but I get a good laugh out of it more or less yearly...

there's no rule that says you have to be a kid to dye eggs. it's so fun! we do it but i do have the kid excuse. we actually do it ON easter. it's become a tradition now for years.
sadly connor is getting to the age when i get told things like "the easter bunny is a myth" and i say "nooooo...no he's not!" trying to keep the dream alive.

Heh, that reminds me of this episode of Gilmore Girls where Taylor (crazy town selectman/mayor person) left Kirk (crazy... well.. guy) in charge of the Easter egg hunt while he went on vacation. Kirk forgot to make an egg map, and something like 36 eggs were left in various spots around the town to rot.

JACKSON: There's a couple in the tree. [Gypsy assists Jackson while he prods branches with a long pole)

TAYLOR: You hid them in a tree?

KIRK: Oh, right.

TAYLOR: They're completely out of reach of the children.

KIRK: The others I hid for the delight of the children. These I hid for me.

I just want to point out that today is the appropriate holiday for watching zombie movies.

i take comfort in the fact that with a second look that does not look like bunny ears. more like coyote/wolf/some kind of bigger than a bunny animal ears.

still...how could you monica?!?! that was so mean. :(
