New bike. Well, new frame + some parts...with any luck it'll be a complete new bike in a month or two. Old (early-mid 1980's) Japanese frame in good shape with really pretty detail. I love craigslist :)

Its called "Boy Vs. Heart" - it was drawn by darth vader's grandson (my friend nate hamill, his dad is mark hamill - luke skywalker in starwars.....i just think its funny to say darth vader's grandson)
not to be a whiny emo kid, but it basically is about a boy who has a big heart and had his heart ripped out. not a specific instance so much (i wont give my ex fianceé that much credit..) but more just, over and over again for various reasons.. my heart always wins, but is not always the best thing for me.

i saw it while i was out there visiting, and really loved the image. this is the original - i was afraid that a lot of detail would be lost, but fortunately im very pleased with how it came out.

i got it done by Danny Chan, over at Art and Soul on S. Robertson Blvd, in Los Angeles. I was there last week visiting some friends. about 2 hours of work, its all stippling (no lines, all dots) and went really painless.

My friend was really shocked, and honored that my first tattoo was of his art...and im happy i got it, he's a really great friend and stand up guy.

more of his stuff can be seen here: http://nathanhamill.com/

Awwwww, he looks JUST like Dad! That's awesome.

Also, on the "type as I think" tip, thanks for mentioning God of War - you just reminded me I got interview questions to think up for my next Geek Monthly profile.

(I was supposed to do one with Captain Jack, but that kinda fizzled. Hmm, I should resurrect that...)

do concert tickets count too?

cause this month would be.....

Mark Kozelek (i actually /made/ $50 from Mark at the show, so technically i bought it, but ended up getting a refund+30)
Sigur Rós (best show ive ever seen.)
R.E.M./Modest Mouse/The National (great show, the national killed, modest mouse's set was short, but thats okay cause they didn't play much old stuff, and i dont care for their new stuff)
Pearl Jam (this is next week)
