Yup, I get it. :) I see a lot of kerry stickers still, and I like seeing them. Some candidates become meaningless, and others...don't. I only put it there because I really believed in him, and that wasn't going to change win or lose.

But yeah, stickers are nothin' compared to winning the presidency!

I was there! It was incredible! I'll post some pics later...too giddily tired at the moment. :)

PS: The taliban has softened and says they are willing to negotiate based on the fact that America elected a president who's middle name is hussein. Didn't see that coming, but a welcome surprise. And moderate muslims everywhere suddenly see a way out of all this mess. Sanity reigns again. OMG AMERICA IS BACK. YAY!

lol. It makes me kind of sad, but also, some of it is funny.

Apparently the army of fluff-brain evangelical flag-wavers cling to more than just guns and religion, they also cling to dumb campaign slogans, anger, fear, and partisan animosity.

Perhaps our best bet is just to ignore them, and hope they tucker themselves out and fall asleep. That worked with my baby sister.

Someone needs a nap.

Actually, discounting the loons on that site Grant just posted, the big trend I'm noting with the two or three McCain supporters I know is this bizarre nostalgic Reagan thang. I think we're going to see a lot of harkening back to the 80's (yikes) in the new GOP World Order.

Neat! Real conservatives. Sane conservatives. Sadly, out of the 5-6 I know, only one falls in the category. The rest are more determined than ever to cling to the idea that Obama is a socialist with scary radical friends. Incredible!

I've gotten messages from them talking about history and how Cuba, Russia, and NK prove that Obama's plans will fail and they can't congratulate a man who won by questionable means. Another who informs me they are going to go sign up for welfare, etc. Who would think red-baiting and conspiracy theories would work with 30 year olds?

Seriously.

Oh well. I hope they aren't too disappointed when Obama is just a normal, sane slightly liberal politician with great diplomatic skills.

Btw, who is thrilled about Rham Emmanuel? A ballet-dancing supergoon tough guy as chief of staff? You know Obama and Rham will play good cop bad cop.

In keeping with this topic's title, I'm less than thrilled with what *could* be Emmanuel's policies on Israel. But then again, he's not Sect'y of State.

More in keeping with the topic's title: Obama's grandmother's funeral can expect a few new guests.
