Underneath the Tree
Dear The Nicest and Best-taste-in-music-having Board on the Internet,
Merry Christmas! I bear gifts!
First, the perfect answer to the question "What do you want for Christmas?"
And secondly, the most precious and lovely version of a holiday standard I've heard in years:Goldfrapp's version of Winter Wonderland
I hope you enjoy these presents, and that your holidays are full of cookies.
love,
betty

in highschool, I took ASL from a pretty unqualified teacher for a while, but the one thing that stuck with me over the years was the fact that she made us learn some christmas songs in sign language and she translated "winter wonderland" into "white rain dirt plain".

Re: Underneath the Tree
I sent these cards out this year. And this one is for you guys.

Re: Underneath the Tree
haha! Flyn that's so funny!
And Betty I love that card... I know so many people that would love that!
I don't post much here, but I enjoy all the discourse and witty banter that goes on here.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah and General Well Wishes to all. And to all a good night!

Re: Underneath the Tree
Thanks Betty. Loving the card -- is that a really, really, really big tree, or a micro-small Apatosaurus?

Recipe: Hot Buttered Rum
Ingredients
* 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
* 2 cups light brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
* Pinch ground cloves
* Pinch salt
* Bottle dark rum
* Boiling water
Directions
In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Refrigerate until almost firm. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the butter mixture into 12 small mugs. Pour about 3 ounces of rum into each mug (filling about halfway). Top with boiling water (to fill the remaining half), stir well, and serve immediately.
Yummmmmmm. Unsalted butter is not ALWAYS punishment.

Re: Underneath the Tree
lol. Dee Snyder looks like a drag queen impersonating a drag queen.
Re: Underneath the Tree
The prosecutors wouldn't have had a case if Dee hadn't left that guitar pick in her cleavage. Like some spiders and insects, cold weather can force Twisted Sisters indoors; the number of cross-dressing band home invasions has skyrocketed lately.

Re: Underneath the Tree
I saw this picture show up on my Facebook feed, and I didn't even make the connection. Embarrassed, much? But great photograph! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
