Science Tuesday!

Postby Squid » Tue Dec 15, 2009 9:26 am

Okay, so this is not about my brethren, and it's not about battles for animal supremacy so I figured I'd just start an actual Science Tuesday Topic.

(And I sort of can't believe I beat Grant to this, which can only mean that it's a hoax or he's found something cooler.)

Octopus snatches coconut and runs

An octopus and its coconut-carrying antics have surprised scientists.

I realize now that what this board needs (aside from a wonderful new redesign, of course) is COCONUT-CARRYING ANTICS. This is what we have been missing the entire time. I don't know about you, but I'm planning on rectifying this immediately.

It is NOT a hoax.

It is an octopus carrying coconuts.

They are very clever.

And I am fighting an urge to allude to Monty Python *right now*.

Well, it's already Tuesday in EMEA...

How can you tell when a telescope is big?

When it earns the title "EXTREMELY LARGE".

Once again, I am slammed at work, but it is Science Tuesday so I must take a moment to present:

PRE-HISTORIC BALLOON-HEADED DOLPHINS
.

You heard me.
