I am not patient enough to alphabatize my CDs. Also I do not think alphabetically. I think chronologically. Or something.
At any rate, my copy of WIPTF is currently at the top of the Often Played rack, right above my Ted Leo albums. WYCDIH is kicking it at the bottom of the same rack, right between the Thermals record and a Rat Cat Hogan record. Nearby we have some Fugazi, we have some Auer/Stringfellow split, and this Absolutely Kosher sampler I wedged in between my copy of the Little Shop of Horrors original cast album and the Destroyer album.

You have your copy of Wig in a Box yet? Mr. Daniel turns "Tear Me Down" into a Spoon song with horns. WONDERFUL. Although not as good as Frank Black's rendition of "Sugar Daddy."
Damn, but y'all all sound way too young to be so organized. I just keep what I'm listening to that particular week in the door of my car, and all the vinyl and loose CDs are in blissfull disarray upstairs. Truly, it's a beautiful thing-I mean while I'm looking for an old Neats record I run across a Breaking Circus LP or an old My Dad is Dead EP, and it's like finding 20 bucks in yer pocket, 'cuz ya forgot it was there.
But in the door of my car this week is WIPTF of course, at least two or three Centro-matic's, Nada Surf's Let Go, Uncle Tupelo's Anodyne, American Analog Set's Promise of Love, That 1 Guy's Songs in the Key of Beotch, Varnaline's Songs in a Northern Key, My Morning Jacket's It Still Moves, Bill Winters' Live from Carnegie Hall, The Eels' Shootenany, Van Morrison's Moondance, and the soundtrack to Lost in Translation.
