I loved Big Fish and I've been looking for Triplets of Belleville but it isn't playing freaking anywhere. I'm gonna suggest that everybody not see House of Sand and Fog unless they are particular fans of complete and utter misery. It was a tragedy of Shakesperean proportions and although you could probably call it a good movie, it completely ruined my day.

I just saw Big Fish last night. It was really great. Tim Burton's a super genius. Plus carnivals are just awesome. Any of you catch HBO's series Carnivale? That's really good. If it ever comes out on DVD, I totally suggest that. Mix between carnivals of the dustbowl era + a little X-files.
American Splendor was also really good. I totally recommend that. The storytelling in that is really great. It goes back and forth between reality and "fiction" really well.
That's my two cents. I saw a preview for something like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, with Jim Carrey, Tom Wilkinson, Elijah Wood, Kate Winslet and Kirsten Dunst; that looked very promising as well.

The most important David Lynch work to see is Twin Peaks. And you should do so IMMEDIATELY.
Be sure to set aside the whole weekend. Start with the pilot, have the entire series available, plus the pre-quel. You should also have all varieties of sustinence around you, unplug the phone, fluffy pillows, candles, colored scarves over the lampshades, etc. You want your first time to be magical.
haha. GO!
