Just posting this to let you know I'm moving forward the deadline a bit, I give y'all until the 22nd to chime in on this. And you Everett people, can you be a bit clearer about this group swap thing, otherwise I will just include you, except Heather, who works in a recordshop and knows enough new music (right?).

Why the rush, you may ask yourself?
It's totally time to do this spring swap: this morning I had to stop to let a duck with three cute fuzzy ducklings cross the road!

here's the match that came out of the hat (think straw hat, summer is coming!!):
LoveSickJerk - Chelsea
Fi - grant
anthropomorphizing_kitty - the new girl
dchris - midori
hovering - no pic
AJ - Harry Kellerman
Karousme - Liesbeth
Unremarkable - jess

so, pm your match and sort out between yourselves the how, what & where of the exchange

only two rules:
- deadline is midsummernight
- have fun

ps: Laura, if you were serious about the trade of music and assorted food stuff with Karousme, of course I will swiftly withdraw (in which case I will hold anthro-kitty to his 'sign me up twice'...)

yay. no pic likes good texas bands, being a texan and all.
except i remember her making a comment about not liking a lot of 'new' stuff so this could be hard.

I'll pull double duty, and trade with you :)

Liesbeth-

Laura and I have coordinated our trade, and I mailed off her mix a few days ago. However, I'd gladly send you one too if you'd like.

okay....

so here we have Heather who was left out.
terribly sorry girl, I just remembered asking you if you wanted in on the winter trade and your answer then made me think you wouldn't want in now.

so here we have Karousme who has traded already (good good good, that's the spirit)

so here Unremarkable steps in on the double to help out Heather

so I could offer to trade with Heather (yay, I could do with some more Hydra, and I don't know Neutral Milk Hotel nor United States of Electronica) but then would I hurt Un's feelings?

oh whatever, the sun is shining, life is good, things will work out spendidly I'm sure

I do! I do!

I'm just afraid that I wouldn't be able to put much music on a CD that you haven't heard.

don't worry about being obscure, just fill it with "pike st./park slope" and a lot of new edition and she could possibly be the happiest person in the world.

AND DON'T FORGET TO ADD SOME MODEST MOUSE.

I think the issue was more of giving a mix cd with music somoene already knows instead of introducing new bands to board members with quite similar tastes. I just went for broke and hoped the context of the cd assisted in the otherwise probably already heard songs. Ask HK if it worked.

oh i do not concur- i wanna hear NEW stuff.

despite what hoverin says, Hutch digs new music. She is old, but likes new music. There. :)

First off, feel free to hold me to the "Sign Me Up Twice" comment and then some. Secondly, I was hoping that the person I make a mix for and who makes a mix for me could do so in the time-honored tradition of making it an actual mix-tape as I feel this is the only truly artistic form of doing these sorts of things. Is that workable for you New Girl? And if not is there anyone else who shares my belief?

Ah, new vs old. There's no rule about it, so sort these things out between yourselves...

A-kitty: I am now officially holding you to the Twice thing and will make you a tape!
Sorry Heather, the magic word was spoken and I succumbed. I'm sure Un will be a worthy trade partner

mmm, Tape
