i shall formulate a petition to found a banana-appreciation group. (The Banana Of The Week Award livers on!)

Darn. I was just thinking this could have gone into the "communicate here" forum. I'm dumb.

Speaking of Europe, the rain usually comes from Ireland. That's a quote from a movie by the way.

Say are we testing here how long it takes until someone comes to slap our wrists for viciously misusing the test forum?[/b]

The 1740s? Dreadful time, dreadful.

All those difficulties with the French, English and Indians in Canada - King George's War, what? The Jacobite rebellions in Scotland. Alexander Pope dies, Vivaldi dies, Jonathan Swift dies. And who takes their place? Posh twits and nebbishes. Nothing decent for another 30 years at least!

Aside from Johnson and his dictionary. He was a bit alright.

How Eurocentric Grant, I'm surprised. The 1740's were a fine time to be a samurai. And, also, a fine time to be a pirate.

Heard at the Long Winters show at Snoqualmie Pass:

John: OK, the last song we're gonna play is called Medicine Cabinate Pirate. It harkens back to an earlier time...

Sean: To the days of the pirates!

John: (laughs) Thank you.

Sean: And the medicine cabinates!

John: (pause) Ahoy!

Sean: Ahoy!

John: Argh!

Good times.
