nice vid, although I still find it kinda weird that all of a sudden videos (albeit bad quality ones) are so readily available.
read on for the comments:
" He makes Christopher Cross seem edgy."
the comments also link to the Rolling Stone review. The reviewer clearly must not have been of the single KEXP-listening 30-something female variety.

(Sidenote: that's my photo in the Rolling Stone review.)

The guy who does Ryspace.com recorded the audio for the show, I think. He's posted a Sufjan track and promisesmore in the future.

if I am indeed a sick bastard, it is for a reason. Well, several reasons actually. One is that I don't have the bandwidth to have every bit of banter up at the same time. But even if I had, I'm not sure I would leave everything up. You know, anticipation adding to the enjoyment and all that. It just wouldn't do for the banter to become something to boringly browse through to find the fattest bits.
But since it might be a little while before I can update the banter stage in teh Library again, I could do a re-run of the old banter for a bit. LET ME KNOW IF THAT WILL STOP PEOPLE SCREAMING THEIR HEADS OFF.

okay, first rerun is up in the Long Winters Library, Banter of the Week.
I'm not gonna announce every one of them here, but if you want to keep up to date, I recommend the RSS feed.[/url]

Winamp will play flac files. (http://www.winamp.com)philistien wrote:ok, i have a dumb question. how do i make flac play on my computer? i'm a complete plebe when it comes to computers and i've never been able to make it work. if anyone cares to inform me, i'd appreciate it ever so much.
You can also use a program like FLAC frontend to convert flac files to .wav files if you want to burn to cd and play in the stereo, etc. Just download the frontend program/interface from that page, install, and drag/drop flac files into the window and click "decode." I'm sure there are ways to decode to other file types than wav's, but I'm not all that flac-saavy and this seems like a good way to get stuff onto cd's. (I have no idea what this does to compression/quality, but it's good enough for me...)

That's *exactly* what you do! Well done!
Hot tip: if you find recent versions of Winamp unnecessarily bloated, check out OldVersion.com for an older version of Winamp. I've been using v.2.81 for years, because I've never had a damn problem with it, yet!
Hot rumour: As I understand it, newer versions of Nero convert FLAC files to WAV for you as you burn them, or something. I still trust FLAC Frontend a little more, but if you want to skip the step, that might be something to look into.

In a slightly offtopic reply, watching the video for honest led me to watching the video for new girl which lead me to watching thriller (yes, that thriller) which lead me to watch the simpsons vs star trek which ended with me watching the panic at the disco singer get hit in the head with a bottle.sour29 wrote:Honest
The point? None, really. Work is slow and I like youtube.
To tie back into things that matter, a ton of LW videos have been showing up on there lately.
Yay youtube.
