That's debatable. I went with the Sean John connection.

I had the same dilemma (sometimes knowing too much about a band can be a disadvantage). But Paste give a clue to use the Paste search function and if you do that, you will find that the year mentioned there (I'm not actually gonna post which year it is, that would spoil the fun) happens to be the year of the first shows under the name of The Long Winters.

Oh woot. Thank you Liesbeth, I can rest easy.

And hope that I win. And that the juice doesn't go off during it's trip across the antlantic to me.

Go to the page and try it again. I think you'll find that you're answers will still be there and you can change it.

They weren't. I re-entered with a different e-mail address, but since all my other info remains the same, I'm sure I'll be disqualified.

doesn't hurt to try though - hope it works for you
isn't it terrible that a seemingly simple question like is so hard in the case of TLW?

oh my gosh i totally call bullshit on this contests question!

if you go by what is in one of their articles it's one year, but if you look at whose been a member starting from a certain year then it's another.

i guess i lose by the sean john connection then.

this is stupid.....

Agreeds, Abs.

I got a case of the Long-Winters-Origin-Date-Confusion-No-Guitar-Winning-In-A-Stupid-Internet-Contest-Even-Though-I-Shouldn't-Be-Complaining-Becaue-I-Already-Won-The-New-Lord-Of-The-Rings-Boxset-From-An-Online-Contest-This-Month-Blues.

well, there is the thing about the name... Sean and John performed live together under their own names, not as the Long Winters, for quite some time. But I agree that this question is debatable at least - they could have just asked something like 'how many pairs of glasses does John possess'.

An argument I would win, I promise.

well i mean, if john hypothetically owned 12 beverage glasses, that would make 6 pairs (in the sense of two-ness, not necessarily matching)
