This is, of course, the recording that will also be distributed through the Toronto Tape Tree -- so those of you who can't download large files, or don't know what to do with FLAC, fear not! Good things come to those who wait ... and great things come to those who wait longer. Heh.

EDIT: Actually, this recording is really quiet. I'll probably remaster the recording to get it to a more audible volume for the tree, if DC don't mind?

yea, it came out kinda quiet. i should have left off the -10db pad on the mics. but yea, feel free to adjust it for the tree.

Rockin'. I was just doing it for my own copy just now. I raised it 11db -- so it looks like that was the problem. This is a really sweet sounding recording though. Can't wait to give it a listen on my headphones.

seeing how it's still on the official site, it's an understandable mistake, but Mike Squires left the band last year and Jonathan Rothman is the new man.

Good eye. Even I didn't catch that, and I spent a fair amount of the night chatting with Mr. Rothman.

Gee, that sounds good. I'll gladly hate minidiscs too, if that makes you feel any better.

It does. If Minidiscs were less stupid, I'd have the whole show sounding that good. :(

Harvey Danger, on the other hand, turned out completely distorted. Time to look into getting new mics.

I came out of my European lurkitude to say as soon as I find a decent connection, I plan on getting this show and listening to it nonstop until I come home in May. Is it going to stay up permanently, or do I need to do some hardcore internet searching?

not that kind of hardcore, you perverts.

dont worry, the band has given the ok for their shows to be archived at the live music archive (http://www.archive.org/details/etree) so as soon as the site adds them, i will be uploading the show their. hopefully this will be done within a week.

Don't forget that the show will also be a part of the Tape Tree, hm?

But congrats on getting them on the live music archive. Makes my site a bit redundant, I guess. I'll have to start posting Warez or pr0n to take up my bandwidth instead.

The videographer should be home now. I'm just waiting on his transfer, and then we'll be ready to get'r done.

EDIT: He just e-mailed me. DVD transfer is done and should be in the mail tomorrow. Which makes us on schedule... sign up will begin next week for the Tree, mmmkay?

is this going to be only in FLAC? i take jason's comments (here or elsewhere, i forget) to mean it will at some point make it to VBR mp3, which I hope, because I only have access to slow wifi for about 2 hours at a time, which does not lend itself well to downloading .flacs... still, over the past 3 days I've managed to get 2 tracks from the allston show! i like flac, it's just too big given my circumstances (yes, there is such a thing as "too big")

Any comments I've made have been referring to the Toronto Tape Tree. See the Sticky! That will save all your FLAC concerns.
