I'm in
an improv show ! Wing-it Productions (producers of Jet City Improv) presents: Over and Through, an improvised full length play along the lines of Labyrinth, Alice in Wonderland, The Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, etc. It's every Thursday and Friday night in Nov. and Dec. (except the last weekend of each month) at 8:00pm at the Historic University Theatre on University Way in Seattle. There will be puppets, there will be funnies, and there will be a full bar. What more could you ask for?
You can also view the trailer
here .

Hijacking this shamelessly to self-promote my being interviewed about SCIENCE for
this public radio show tomorrow. Hopefully they have edited out the worst of my doltish blather. And ponderous, pedantic pauses.

Indeed! Minnesota Public Radio is the home of Marketplace, the greatest show of all time! GRANT HAS ARRIVED.
I will totally be listening, Grant. This is awesome.
(Should we start a thread for Public Radio Nerdage? I'm so bad that I listen to SF Unified School District Board Meetings - and I don't have kids.)

School board meetings? The first step is admitting you have a problem, Squid.
Although every so often, the Dade County ones get a little heated ....

Because I have no class, I'm
double hijacking this thread.
A while ago, I wrote about the Phoenix lander discovering snow on Mars. That song is on an album, now, called
We Are Artists . It's an experimental album - not the music, but the way it's being distributed.
You can
get a copy of this album for as much as you think it's worth over here:

A Creative Commons album sold via pledge.

Got a poem (a haiku cycle) published over yonder:
Cordite: Zombie 2.0 .
The other poems are pretty amazing. Like
so or

Actually, there's a long Buddhist tradition of meditating on death and undead things as a path to enlightenment.
There's even a holiday when
the dead walk the earth to feed ....

Grant, it's beautiful. It must be - it's making me hum songs
