Well after seeing the band two nights in a row I have to say I am very impressed. They did really well, even in the face of technical difficulties last night in Nashville. The amp did not want to work and eventually a Keane roadie had to help out but the band laughed it off...brilliant!

I took a few pictures of the band, although didn't manage to get all of them on film.

After the show last night a few of us got to hang out with the band for about an hour as they were packing up the van. They were so friendly and it was great to have a chat with them and just see them being themselves. A very humble and terrible band!!

AGH! All my BOARDIE BUDS!!!!!

Nelly.. He doesn't need curlers, but as there had been the discussion that his hair looked like it had been flat-ironed, I thought it would be a funny gag gift. Besides, Rich got it and thought it was funny! =D

*twirls*

I am so happy to see ya'll here! Now we just need to get TLW to get their bums in the studio, on tour somewhere near us, and wait.. .Mike wore that shirt in Atlanta.... LOL! Someone needs to bring him a shirt! ;D

Seriously, though, thanks for thinking of me... I really do love that song. So, of course I listened to it all day until; yes, folks; my 6 year old daughter knows the words. I wonder if I can get her on my camera singing it? I'll post it if she does! LOL!

May I still be allowed to beat myself up for not having bought the new LP? Please say yes! Sometimes one just needs to beat one's self- it's the way of life.

I'll encourage self-abuse in your case.

Say, thanks! But does that mean you think I need some abuse, mm?

I'm of the "all you need is love" school of thought.

cool to have some photos. that looks like a pretty high stage there

as for abuse, if you really feel like repenting, and have scraped together $12, go to the Barsuk.com website and order the album. There's nothing as soothing for the soul as a Barsuk packet falling on your doormat.

I figured I'd buy the two CDs they had with them (WIPTF *and* the Ultimatum disc) while I was there. Spent WAY too much money in Nashville, but the Air Force will pay me well. :D I can't be hurting myself for not getting them this close to basic training! :D

The rest of you could learn a lot from the new girl. She just might be on to something.

I didn't realize I'd taken so many of Mike. Come to think of it, I took a lot of him in Nashville too- those photos aren't developed yet however.

Rilo Kiley is AWESOME. They opened for Coldplay at their concert last Saturday and they were fantastic! I took a looksee at Barsuk's website - lots of bands I really like!

I was considering going to Coldplay to see Rilo Kiley.

After that, I would have left, though... I'll wait til they come back near me either as the headliner, or as a support to a band I actually like.

You may very well have an opinion of them already, but http://www.thelongwinters.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1409
